This summer, the library is planning to host it’s first Repair Cafe, an all-ages, do-it-together, activity where people bring broken household items and learn how to repair them instead of sending them to the landfill. If you’d like to help your neighbors fix their broken stuff, please fill out this form.
Pet Food and Toy Drive
The library is collecting donations for dogs and cats in local animal shelters through June 3, 2023. Bags of new and unopened dog and cat food, canned food, treats, cat litter and new toys are welcome.

National Library Week April 23-29, 2023
This year’s theme “There’s More to the Story” celebrates everything libraries have to offer from the traditional to the unique. Join us this week for a cooperative tabletop storytelling class, a murder mystery party, a creature creator lab, as well as storytime and a book discussion.
18th Annual Community Photography Contest
The Friends of the Hauppauge Library invite all photographers to submit up to 5 photos for a juried photography contest.
