Collecting Used Sports Equipment

HPL is now accepting donations of gently-used sports equipment for PasstheBall.net, which is a charity created by two Hauppauge students to help schools, leagues and programs that are in need of sports equipment. Please note that this does not include used clothing or shoes. #sportsforall #Hauppauge #giveback #Hauppaugelibrary

Current Donations

As of February 1, 2020, the library is collecting the following items: Eyeglasses — Are donated to a local Lions Club.   LEGOS — Sent to LEGO Replay to be cleaned and given to Boys & Girls Clubs across the country.  Non-Perishable Food Items — Will be donated to Long Island Cares.  Please note:  cat food […]

Teen Area

Did you know that the library has a dedicated area for students in grades 6-12? It has eight internet-connected computers with a printer, a comfy seating area, several different study areas, chargers available to check out for a variety of electronics, board games and a New Fiction section.

Current Donations

The library is currently (as of January 14, 2020) collecting the following items: Gently used/new coats — Will be distributed to the local Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization.  (Through January 31, 2020.)
