The library is currently (as of January 14, 2020) collecting the following items:
Gently used/new coats — Will be distributed to the local Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. (Through January 31, 2020.)
Cards for Hospitalized Kids — Visit the library to create cards with an uplifting message. The decorated cards will be distributed by Cards for Hospitalized Kids to children in hospitals in the area. (Through January 31, 2020.)
Eyeglasses — Are donated to a local Lions Club. (Collected on an ongoing basis.)
LEGOS — Sent to LEGO Replay to be cleaned and given to Boys & Girls’s Clubs across the country. (Collected on an ongoing basis.)
Non-Perishable Food Items — Will be donated to Long Island Cares. (Collected on an ongoing basis.)
Batteries & Cellphones — Will be recycled. (Collected on an ongoing basis.)
