Full time positions at Hauppauge Public Library are filled according to the Rules & Regulations of the Suffolk County Department of Civil Service. To be considered, applicants for full time positions must take a Civil Service exam and have their names on a certified list.

Applicants for part time applicants don't need to be on a certified list, but they must still meet the Civil Service requirements for the position.
