Fundraising Update

We succeeded in obtaining a $1,000 legislative grant from John M. Kennedy, Jr.; our December Bake & Book Sale (chaired by Jean Noschese) realized almost $600; and over $1,400 was raised by our Gold and Gem evaluations (thanks to Anna Beltrani) – funds to support future cultural arts programs for the Hauppauge Community.  Our fundraising activities continue year long, and during 2012 we are working to establish FOTA as a 5013C non-profit organization in an effort to attract further grants and corporate gifts.

Events Update

A variety of spring offerings are planned including musical and dramatic presentations by the Boston Burglars and Township Theatre Group, trips to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and Sands Point Preserve, and our annual Lustberg Community Amateur Photography Contest.  FOTA is proud to announce our first partnership with Hauppauge Public Schools on a writing contest with prizes for grades 2-12.  Details on these programs and more may be found below.  Please join us on Monday, March 12 at 1PM for some coffee and cake while we plan more enriching and exciting community events. Your input and ideas are welcome! Enjoy the Spring Holidays!

A Joyous Easter and Happy Passover to All!
